Card from Costco and American Express offers high rewards
A recent report in Consumerism Commentary is highlighting the benefits offered by the True Earnings credit card issued by Costco and American Express. The highly-touted credit card with rewards affords its customers the
opportunity to earn large cash back bonuses and enjoy high rewards-earning potential.
The credit card provides a $25 cash back bonus after being approved and making a purchase using the product, the blog reports. Though other credit card issuers have also recently launched products that offer cash back bonuses, the additional benefits the card carries is luring more Costco members in.
Costco members who secure the card can also earn up to 3 percent on all gasoline purchases up to $3,000 per year. Three percent cash back will also be awarded for all restaurant purchases and 2 percent will be earned for all travel-related spending. All other purchases, including those made at Costco, will earn the cardholder one percent cash back. According to the Consumerism Commentary, the credit card is unique in its rewards offerings because most other warehouse credit products do not offer rewards for purchases outside of their retail category.
Additionally, the product also carries a zero percent annual percentage rate on all purchases for a six-month introductory period. A variable 15.24 percent APR will apply after the intro period ends. Costco members will not be charged an annual fee.
More retailers and merchants are luring customers by launching their own credit cards. Target plans to launch a credit card that will offer a 5 percent discount on all purchases made. Sears and KMart have also launched a credit card program that will provide holiday shoppers with more cash back incentives.
