IPhone owners spend more with credit cards

IPhone users tap their credit cards much more than other people who have smartphones, according to personal finance services company Pageonce.

The typical iPhone user’s balance on his or her credit card statement is 35 percent higher compared to the average Windows Mobile owner.

"My first reaction was … this might mean that iPhone users have more debt," said, Steve Schultz, COO of Pageonce. "It could also mean iPhone users simply run more expenses through their cards. Or maybe Android users are more conservative about using credit? Whatever the reason, I'm betting credit card companies would like to get their hands on more iPhone users."

However, the average Window Mobile user had a 24.5 percent higher wireless bill when measured up to someone who has an iPhone.

Though iPhone users ranked No. 1 for having the highest credit card statement, Blackberry owners came in second with Android users not far behind in third place.
