Pro:I had a credit score of 512 CK. I got approved for $500 and it has gone up to $1500 after one year. My credit score is now 630. Make sure you keep ure balance under 30% usage. i.e. my limit is $1500 so i keep my balance under $450. That is what's building my credit.

Con:Always pay on time b/c the fee is $40 and intrest kicks in after your first year.

Been with cap one for 14 plus years started with $1000 limit paid the card off multiple times never missed a payment now 14 years later CL is only $4500. I have a $757 credit score less than 5% utilization cards with limits of $14k, $20k, $10k and every time I go online or call for a credit limit increase I'm denied. I have a 0 balance with Cap One. In my opinion it's a worthless card and they don't have any respect for their loyal customers. BTW they send me pre approved car loans of $35K each month that I refuse to use. Worthless simply worthless.

Got approved for 500 with a 604 score .. I'm gonna pay the 39 clams and cut the card up!! Only using it  to show as 'Pays as Agreed'.. Another account in good standing!!!  To me, that's worth 39 bucks to bolster my score !!

I applied based on credit karma chances of approval. I started with score of 620 after approved for 300. I used 30% of my limit next month my scored raised 35pts.I didnt expect results that fast so thanks  Capital one on my way with the credit steps program!

I had applied for this card after I graduated highschool to hopefully help me build credit. Approved me with only $500 which was fine especially for my low income at the time. So far they are pretty decent with everything, the only thing I do not like about this card is my high interest rate and annual fee. Interest is 21.99% and fee is $39 per year. I haven't used this card in honestly over 6 months now. When i did use the card I would always pay it off in full. However, they were the only company who would give me a chance at the time, so I am glad I applied. However, now that I have credit history and a few loans under my belt I can easily get better cards. But, a great way to start building credit if you pay your bill in full each month or leave a small amount on it.
