According to Credit Karma I have fair credit, however for this card it states you have to have excellent credit. Needless to say, I joined credit Karma yesterday 11/20/13 and obtained my credit score (672), reviewed my credit card recommendations (Chase freedom TOP RANK, CapOne Quicksilver 1ST RUNNER UP, and I can't remember the last one). I went with CapOne because I liked their 1.5% over Chase's 1% with rotating categories that I may never utilize. Needless to say, I was approved with FAIR credit for $5000.00 with 20.9% APR, which is high....however, I plan on using my card like I would my debit card to pay bills I know I have the money for and then turning around and paying it off at the due date to avoid paying interest and to improve my credit and get better offers. Will keep you all posted on customer service, cash reward redemption, etc. once I receive and have a chance to use my card!!! Thanks Capital One and thank you credit Karma!

I just got approved for my second ever credit card (first being a card that I got almost 7 years ago, immediately maxed out - $500 - with a cash advance and didn't pay off for a couple years...).  I'm also an "authorized user" on one of my husband's credit cards, and it reports to my credit as if it was my own.  Needless to say, I'm pretty excited.  I got a pre-approved offer in the mail, but I had been looking at this card for a while.  CK said I have "poor" odds of approval, so I'd been hesitant until I got the offer in the mail. I was instantly approved with a $1000 limit with the 0% apr until Sept 2015 and 24.9% APR after that.  Rate is awful, obviously, but I intend to not run a balance.  I have very low monthly spending.  I'll probably pay for my lunch at work and my gas with it, at least until my income and spending increase a bit.  I have a CK of 618, CreditSesame says 632.

Approved with a good limit, offering 1.5% rewards and no foreign transaction fee, this is probably the best no annual fee card out there.

Unfortunately, it has no EMV chip, so is less secure.  It also turns out you can add additional card holders, but you can't let them see the current balance or make payments, even as an option, which is inconvenient.

I got this card due to a mail offer stating if I got approved I would get $100 bonus after the first $500 spent in the first 3 months. Doing such I hadn't received anything. So I spoke to two different CSR and got two different answers as to why I couldn't get it. One being my credit worthiness (uh what?) and the second being they don't offer it anymore since they switched to 1.5% cash back bonus on every purchase. (That was already offered in the mail offer) I feel deceived into getting this card with an incentive that was never intended to be given to me and therefore I probably won't use this card that much anymore. I'll stick to my Chase Freedom and Everyday Cards

I applied this card last week and havent got the status whether approved/denial. i called up today to check the status and got to know, it was approved with 3k credit. my CK is 703, FICO 756, Experian 728.

The main reason for getting this card is for NO FOREIGN transaction fees.

Already received the Chase freedom card with 5.5K credit limit. need to spend $500 in 3 mos to get $200 cashback on it.

will update this review once i start using this card.

I have a Capital One Platinum card with a $750 limit. I've had it for almost two years. I am currently rebuilding my credit and trying to get approved for whatever I can be approved for. I've had good luck with Capital One despite TERRIBLE CLIs-- I started off with a $500 limit on my Platinum and it was only raised to $750 TWO YEARS later after hounding Capital One (history of great payments; more than minimums).

Other cards gave me ample CLIs after 6 months of steady payments (Merrick, Barclays, even Credit One).  While Cap 1 has been stingy, the card has good reviews, so I decided to try it. I was just approved with a $500 limit.  I'll take what I can get for now, so I'm happy to have been approved.
