According to Credit Karma I have fair credit, however for this card it states you have to have excellent credit. Needless to say, I joined credit Karma yesterday 11/20/13 and obtained my credit score (672), reviewed my credit card recommendations (Chase freedom TOP RANK, CapOne Quicksilver 1ST RUNNER UP, and I can't remember the last one). I went with CapOne because I liked their 1.5% over Chase's 1% with rotating categories that I may never utilize. Needless to say, I was approved with FAIR credit for $5000.00 with 20.9% APR, which is high....however, I plan on using my card like I would my debit card to pay bills I know I have the money for and then turning around and paying it off at the due date to avoid paying interest and to improve my credit and get better offers. Will keep you all posted on customer service, cash reward redemption, etc. once I receive and have a chance to use my card!!! Thanks Capital One and thank you credit Karma!

I had to file for bankruptcy in 2009. A few months after, Capital One was the first reputable bank to offer me their classic platinum mastercard with a $500 limit. Fast forward to October 2014. After being denied other cards because my average card limits were below $2K and the bankruptcy is still on my record, I applied for the CO Qucksilver Signiture Visa. I was in good standing with my CO mastercard, never late, zero balance and a $1750 limit. At the time I applied, my TU score was 683. I applied online, and was instantly approved with a $10K limit. I spent the $500 to get the $100 cash back, and applied it towards the balance. I read the fine print so here's an FYI, your rewards money can be applied towards your balance, but does not count towards your monthly payment. So far it's been a great card and I do recommend it.

I got this card with the following scores; EQ656 TR664(Credt Karma). I was approved for a 3000CL , I've had a Capital One platinum card for two years  prior to this one. I was never late and kept my balances between 35-46% could have done better but oh well, still ot approved for a good starting limit....

I use this card primarily for gas which averages out to $425/month, plus a few other things. I have to travel and wanted something that would offer actual consistent rewards and at the time this was the best (and in my opinion still is) just for cash. I went out to eat with a friend and within 12 HOURS of a fraudulent charge I was called on my cell at work four times the next day. Needless to say I looked up the website for that number, saw it was Capital One, then contacted them directly that same evening to find out they had the charges still pending because they wanted to confirm with me the suspicious activity. I was easily able to tell them what had happened the last time I used the card and where. It was a restaurant and I rarely eat out. The restaurant wouldn't do anything so I'm much more cautious about where I use any credit card and never had to deal with this fraud before.

I had ZERO issues getting the fraudulent charges taken off for an airline ticket and was floored at how fast they resolved the issue and sent me a new card. My bank takes longer to react to such an issue but they were on it in minutes, kept the charges in pending, confirmed what had happened in ten minutes of me calling them back. It only took longer to contact them since my phone must be off at work. I have to say it was nice for a change to talk to people who cared. Why they don't offer a card with a smart chip in this category is just odd though.

With a VantageScore of 733 CK says I have "good" credit. However, with the old scoring method my number falls to 637, as does my credit description (I think it becomes "poor" or "fair". CK had my approval odds as "poor" for this card. I got the card through an "upgrade" process. I've had a Capital One Platinum card for approximately 9 months now. Started out with a $300 CL that was increased to $3,300 after 5 months. The Platinum card has no rewards and an annual fee that's waived for the first year. It was always my intention to get away from the card before having to pay any annual fee at all. I called and basically said the Platinum card was dead weight in my wallet. I have two other cards that have no annual fee and offer rewards. I fulled expected I'd be closing this account. However, they upgraded my account to this Quicksilver card. I incurred no credit inquiry by doing this and maintained the age of the original account which is good for my credit history.

I called in about this card while having the journey student card.  The rep told me she could switch me to this card if I could complete the application process which I did.  After being on the phone for only a few minutes I was approved for this and they sent it out to me.  They have this card and the quicksilver one card.  I was approved for this one.  I was approved with a $300 limit about six months ago.  I received an e-mail this morning stating that since I have had on time payments they are increasing my credit limit by $200.  So I have nothing but positive things to say about this card and this company.
