I applied back in March and was denied due to not having another CC with a similar credit limit of the $5000 minimum on the Sapphire Preferred. Back then my FICOs were EQ704 and TU709. After 6 months of working on my credit and getting new cards with larger limits, and getting increases on current cards, I applied last week and was approved!! I was approved with FICOs of EX715, EQ729. My AAoA is 3+ years, utilization of 1%, and my other CLs were $4250, $4000 and 2 $1250. They instantly approved me for $5000! Called the regular customer service number and had them overnight it to me for Friday because I wanted to book a trip. It didn't end up arriving. Ended up calling the Sapphire specific line and had them overnight it to me for Monday. I did receive it Monday but not at my business address as I had requested. O well, atleast it wasn't stolen out of my mail box(I live on a busy street)

So far I love it. It's a beautiful card, and has some heft to it. I've already received many compliments on it. The 40,000 bonus points(after spending $3k) surely doesn't hurt as I have already almost reached $2k spending on it.

Booking flights through Ultimate Rewards mall isn't cheaper in my experience. It does give you 3 points/dollar. But you can book through another travel website via a link on the site, and it will give you 4points/dollar, and its cheaper.

This card gives you 2 points/dollar when spent on travel(including taxis and tolls), 7% dividend on points earned in the year, no forex fees. Also if you have the Chase Trifecta(a chase checking account and the Freedom cards) the rewards really start adding up!

I'm disappointed with the customer service. A vendor mistakenly charged me for items I never received. I disputed the charge. Chase sent me the vendor's response which included the receipt without my signature because I never authorized the charge, and yet Chase sided with the vendor. So I am being charged for the vendor's error.

Besides the no foreign transaction fees, this card doesn't hold any special perks that attract my interest.

I applied for this to use as a travel card. Instant approval for 25K plus the no preset limit thing on top of that. Much better than my current cards limit wise and they gave me 400 dollars worth of free points on the first statement. Wierd thing is made of metal instead of plastic on the positive side it has chip+sig for use in Europe and the rewards system seems good.

Great card with great limit, if you apply in the branch the minimum spend is less than whats on the site for signup bonus.

This is a great card if you have the credit usage to justify a $95 annual fee. The no prompt menu customer support and the 7% annual dividend are great features as well. Customer service goes out of their way to help you with any matter, large or small. I had an issue with my branch not changing my wife's name correctly when we got married and they got it taken care of in less than 5 minutes and overnighted me a new card. That's another great benefit - I had my wallet stolen once and they send a new card overnight without even having to request the shipping upgrade.

I also love the no foreign transaction fees and use this as my primary card when traveling overseas. Another added bonus is using the points to pay at Amazon with no minimum redemption. All in all, this is a great card, and my go-to card for purchases, large and small. I would recommend this card to anyone with heavy credit usage or international travelers.

I had a $500 discover card through college. After I finished and landed a job, I applied for this card and got accepted.
